DUKUNGAN SOSIAL BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN TINGKAT STRES PEKERJA PADA MASA QUARTER LIFE CRISIS

Abstract


ABSTRAK

Pekerja dewasa muda rentan mengalami quarter life crisis ketika sulit mencapai tugas perkembangannya. Dukungan sosial rendah menjadi faktor individu untuk mengalami stres. Tujuan penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan dukungan sosial dengan tingkat stres pekerja pada masa quarter life crisis pekerja di DKI Jakarta. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional pada 389 pekerja di DKI Jakarta usia 20–30 tahun yang diambil pada bulan Maret 2022. Instrumen yang digunakan ialah multidimensional scale of perceived social support untuk dukungan sosial dan job stress scale untuk mengukur tingkat stres pekerja. Analisis data chi-square dilakukan menggunakan SPSS 26. Hasil: temuan penelitian ini menggambarkan 54% pekerja memiliki tingkat dukungan sosial rendah dan 68,6% pekerja mengalami stres sedang. Hasil analisis membuktikan adanya hubungan dukungan sosial dengan tingkat stres pekerja di DKI Jakarta (p = 0,001) yang menunjukkan pekerja cenderung memiliki dukungan sosial rendah dengan tingkat stres sedang hingga tinggi. Diskusi: Perawat menyarankan perusahaan untuk memberikan anggaran tambahan bagi kesehatan jiwa pekerja dan mengajak pekerja untuk memperhatikan kesehatan jiwanya. Hasil penelitian dapat menjadi pertimbangan untuk menambah bahan pembelajaran pada mata ajar Keperawatan. Kesimpulan: Penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan informasi bagi pekerja dan perusahaan mengenai hubungan dukungan sosial dengan tingkat stres pekerja pada masa quarter life crisis. Peneliti merekomendasikan adanya skrining kesehatan jiwa pekerja secara rutin, menambahkan materi quarter life crisis bagi mahasiswa keperawatan, dan perusahaan bekerja sama dengan layanan kesehatan jiwa untuk merujuk pekerja yang membutuhkan, serta menciptakan lingkungan suportif.

Social Support Correlated with Workers' Stress Levels During the Quarter-Life Crisis

 

ABSTRACT

Young adult workers are vulnerable to experiencing a quarter-life crisis when it is difficult to achieve developmental tasks. Low social support becomes an individual factor in experiencing stress. Objective: This research aims to identify the correlation between social support and the stress level of workers during the quarter-life crisis of workers in DKI Jakarta. Methods: This research employed a quantitative descriptive correlation method with a cross-sectional approach to 389 workers in DKI Jakarta aged 20-30 years who were taken in March 2022. It employed instruments in the form of the multidimensional scale of perceived social support for social support and the job stress scale to measure workers’ stress levels. Chi-square data analysis was performed using SPSS 26. Results: The findings of this research indicated that 54% of workers had low levels of social support, and 68.6% of workers experienced moderate stress. The analysis results proved a correlation between social support and workers’ stress level in DKI Jakarta (p = 0.001), indicating that workers tended to have low social support with moderate to high stress levels. Discussion: Nurses suggested the company provide an additional budget for the mental health of workers and invited workers to pay attention to their mental health. The research results can be considered to add learning materials to nursing subjects. Conclusion: This research is expected to provide information for workers and companies regarding the correlation between social support and workers' stress levels during the quarter-life crisis. The researcher recommends regular mental health screening of workers, the addition of quarter-life crisis material for nursing students, companies to work with mental health services to refer workers in need, and the creation of a supportive environment.
